This special Sit Down edition of the Young & Brilliant album brings you eight outstanding young musicians – a selection of top-scoring winners from the 54th Young Musicians of the Republic of Slovenia Competition (TEMSIG 25).

It features eight outstanding young musicians – a selection of top-scoring winners of the 54th Young Musicians of the Republic of Slovenia Competition (TEMSIG 25). Their performances reveal remarkable talent, technical mastery, and artistic maturity.

If you’re a young musician – young and brilliant in your own right – let their interpretations resonate with your journey. You share the same dedication, the same passion, the same pursuit of excellence. This album is a musical gift from peers who walk the same path.

Featured Artists and Tracks

Enej Jezernik – bassoon/ II.b (18-19)/Jani Golob: Music for bassoon in G minor
 

Five gold and three silver awards, and a regular guest on stages with leading Slovenian orchestras. A passionate Puccini and opera fan, Enej also helps on the family farm. His dedication shines through every note. 

 

Tevž Kupljenik – oboe/ II.b (18-19)/ Robert Schumann: Drei Romanzen, No. 1 in A minor 

Multiple TEMSIG winner and recipient of top awards (Škerjanec Prize, Young Hopes). Performs regularly as a soloist with leading orchestras in Slovenia and abroad. A baroque enthusiast, currently studying in Hannover. 

 

Iza Štih – flute/ III.a (20-22)/ Anže Rozman: Zloba in D minor 

 Winner of over 17 competitions and soloist with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra. Her musical journey is even featured in international professional journals. Her artistry shines on every stage. 

 

Luka Gubenšek – clarinet II. a (16-17)/ Gabriel Grovlez: Sarabande et Allegro in D major 

A music high school student dreaming of stages with great orchestras. Winner of many competitions and special awards. Inspired by Fröst, Brahms, and Mozart. Off stage, you’ll find him on the sports field. 

 

Žiga Čopi – tenor/ II.a (22-23)/ Richard Strauss: Allerseelen, Op. 10 No. 8


Tenor, multi-instrumentalist, and composer. From violin and guitar to vocal performance and composition studies. His music blends wide perspective, deep musicality, and youthful boldness. 

 

Oleksandr Nastasiichuk – tenor/ I.c (20-21)/ P. I. Tchaikovsky: “Kuda, kuda” (from Eugene Onegin)

Ukrainian tenor studying in Ljubljana with soprano Theresa Plut. He has performed in oratorios, masses, and choirs. Singing is his freedom and his connection to the audience. Fitness balances his voice and body. 

 

Goce Zlatev – piano/ III. a (20-22)/ Frédéric Chopin: Sonata No. 3 in B minor, Op. 58, Movement V

A brilliant pianist who enjoys classical music and exploring Chopin’s works. His interpretations are rich in depth and emotion, as evident in his regular collaborations with top musicians. 

 

Nejc Razpotnik – saxophone/ II. b (18-19)/ Fernande Decruck: Sonata in C-sharp minor

A multiple national and international competition winner with a perfect 100-point score. Studying with top mentors and performing with the SOS Saxophone Orchestra, Nejc seeks freedom in music. Loves Tchaikovsky – and cooking!
